“worth a shot”の意味と由来
何かを試してみることが意義があり、成功する可能性があると考えるときに使われる。
スラング的な表現で、カジノのギャンブルで使われる「ショット（一発）」という言葉に由来。
“worth a try”も同義。

② “Take a chance”
意味: チャンスをつかむ、リスクを冒す
- She decided to take a chance and start her own business.
（彼女はチャンスをつかんで自分のビジネスを始めることにした。） - The job opportunity required relocation, but he was willing to take a chance for career growth.
（その仕事は引っ越しを伴っていたけど、彼はキャリアの成長のためにリスクを冒す覚悟があった。）
